This Zoo is close by and does not cost anything to get into. If you do not know where the entrance is you will end up like us walking up and down hills that you do not have to. On to the Zoo, the animals were in smaller enclosures so you can see them better. Don’t know how good this is for them but for once you really get to see the animals up close. Dawson was excited he got to see Alex the lion, Marty the zebra and Marvin the giraffe but he wanted to know where Moto Moto was. Unfortunately, there were no hippos.

I like always tried to get a good picture of Dawson but he will not stand still. He also has this fake smile. I was able to get a few cute pictures of him chasing the birds one of his new past times.
At the turtle exhibit we were a little upset one of the turtles had turned upside down. People were just taking pictures like it was okay. We stopped by the exhibit before we left and the turtle had gotten turned back over.Abigail took a nap for part of the trip but she did get to see the animals. I was able to get a few good pictures of Abigail. She was happy to move around not in the carrier.

The ZOO also has a hand on section. The kids get to touch mice, hamsters, baby chickens and other little animals. Dawson really enjoyed this section. There were mice hotels decorated and other contraptions for the mice. It was a neat experience for Dawson.

The penguins were across the way and Dawson really gets a kick out of them. All in all we had a great day.
